Having been included on the Art Cube 2024 discoveries list, Pakistani-American modern artist Zaam Arif made the nation proud.

Along with personal remarks from more than 100 tastemakers—collectors, curators, advisers—on what they admire about the artists, the study also features a summary of their past and present accomplishments.
Over time, Zaam’s work develops provocatively into a deep examination of the human experience from an overture rich in philosophical and literary inspirations.Theories derived from an otherwise complex multitude of existentialist questions are transformed into striking images using Zaam’s flawless technique and the synergy between characters and the surroundings they are painted in.
Zaam has created a trajectory of visual energy whereby man, place, and time are progressively developed — as if to replicate the human experience — stable and gently unfolding into the experience. Arif’s work invites peace and nostalgia by means of subdued tones and serene stillness. First commented on the work of the Pakistani artists, every one of his creations depicts a scenario from a book or a movie I would want to read or view.
Using strange but oddly recognisable figures, interiors and landscapes all merged flawlessly into a strong surrealistic vision, Collector Ravi Bhansali said: “Zaam Arif’s works feel both like a mystery being solved, and a new one coming alive!
“Arif’s work is an unfolding reflection of the interaction between mankind, place, and time,” he said.
Artist and collector Danny First noted that Zaam Arif’s work emphasises the peaceful, quiet, introspective moments found among the ordinary.
